temperature(1300 degrees) treatment, its volatiles and sulfur impurities are removed, its fixed carbon israised and stabilized it at about 98.5%,the sulfur is about 0.5. On this condition, calcined petroleum coke is a kind of petroleum that without graphitized (its graphitization temperature is 3000 degrees),its density is relatively compact and not easy decompose, so the absorption rate will be lower and decomposition,its decomposition rate is also slower, but its overall price is affordable, so it is widely used in the steelmaking metallurgy industry.
